Forging a Legacy

We are Christophe and Olivia, a brother and sister duo, born in Nice in the south of France and both living in England since the 2000s. Christophe built his career in the fields of hairstyling, fashion and photography for prestigious clients such as L’Oréal. I specialised in graphic design, working for renowned companies like Walt Disney and Reebok. Always passionate about scented candles, we have both developed a deep interest in collecting and burning them in our own homes.

In 2020, Christophe was diagnosed with asthma and, like anyone, you only start looking into something deeply when it affects you. That’s when he became concerned about the dangers of synthetic candles widely sold on the high street. His concern sparked a mission to introduce a healthier alternative. As his passion for change grew, I joined him in his quest to develop a healthier brand. Escap•ology was founded in September 2023 with a vision to transport people to distant lands through candles.

From our modest beginnings in candle making, our vision expanded. Inspired by our commitment to wellbeing and elegance, we ventured into creating ceramics and home fragrances. Today, our enchanting collection embodies minimalist sophistication, setting new standards for the modern home.
